This is a 3D Printed replacement gear for several models of failure-prone Sony 3.5" Floppy Drives. Gear replacement is relatively straight forward, though caution is advised for the inexperienced.
How do I know if I need this? Does your floppy drive make a buzzing or "whirring" sound when it tries to eject? Are disks stuck inside and cannot eject? The smoking gun is the original gear, inside the eject mechanism. Over time they dry out and become chalky. When the motor tries to turn this gear it just breaks.
